NJPA becomes Sourcewell

Date: June 13, 2018 Posted by Amy Mail Twitter Facebook

Our valued strategic partner, the National Joint Powers Alliance, has a new name -- Sourcewell! After more than a year of research and work, the Sourcewell brand was unveiled on June 6, 2018. You'll see the new logo incorporated throughout our website and communications, and have direct interaction with Sourcewell at upcoming trade shows and brand marketing in the coming months.

We thought this would be a great opportunity to remind you of who Sourcewell/NJPA is and why it's important to anyone working for a public entity or nonprofit organization.

Sourcewell is a 50,000-member national public service agency that offers a multitude of cooperatively contracted products, equipment and service opportunities to education and government entities throughout the country. The Joint Exercise of Powers Laws (Minnesota Statute 471.59) allow Sourcewell members to legally purchase from the organization’s nationally leveraged, competitively bid contracts rather than conducting their own competitive bidding process. Purchasing through a Sourcewell contract can save school districts much time and hassle and potentially save you thousands of dollars over individually bid contracts.

NutriStudents K-12 is available at a 25% discount under Sourcewell’s food distribution contract (#112917) with the Multi-Unit Group. That means you can license the NutriStudents K-12 system and contract with your local food distribution company without going out to bid. Ask your distributor’s sales representative if their company is a member of the Multi-Unit Group and the advantages of the Sourcewell contract. If your school or district is not yet a member of Sourcewell, join today at http://www.sourcewell-mn.gov. Membership is free.
