NutriStudents K-12 General Manager Laurie Yohn SNS, DTR has been taking a lot of tests recently. In January, we announced she had received her School Nutrition Specialist certification. She has now also become a Certified ServSafe Instructor and a Registered ServSafe Examination Proctor, both credentials awarded by the National Restaurant Association. These new credentials allow Laurie to lead official food handling and safety training programs for NutriStudents K-12 clients, and proctor exams for foodservice staff pursuing the ServSafe Food Handler certification.

Way to go, Laurie!

According to the Restaurant Association's website, "The ServSafe Food Safety Training Program leads the way in providing current and comprehensive educational materials to the restaurant industry. More than 4 million foodservice professionals have been certified through the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP). ServSafe training and certification is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification."
